Function first, then form

Every wall in this project does a job: it stores, it displays, or it carries a screen. There is no decorative mass without a function, and that is where the visual cleanliness of the whole project comes from.

When the storage is sufficient and integrated, the need for extra furniture drops and the centre of the room stays open. The simplicity here is the outcome of planning, not of subtraction.

Concealed light as a third layer

Lit shelving creates a depth in the wall that paint or material alone cannot produce. The light separates the shelf from its background, so the unit reads as layers rather than one surface.

In the evening that light is enough on its own to move through the room, which makes the general lighting a choice rather than a necessity.

Details that complete the place

Mirror and marble open the room

The marble console and the lit mirror work together to widen the space: the marble returns light with a low sheen, and the mirror doubles the perceived depth of the room.

Gold details stay limited to edges and handles, adding refinement without pulling attention from the natural wood that leads the palette.
